Urbanista Malibu hands on: fun in the sun September 1, 2023by Youth23 I've been listening to Bluetooth speakers that probably never require charging as long as you have enough sunlight. Urbanista Malibu (6) Urbanista Malibu is a Bluetooth chair that promises endless summer fun thanks to a Powerfoyle solar charging circuit. It may be a little late for summer sun this year unless you live in Australia, but the prospect of powering up your own Bluetooth speaker is sure to appeal to almost everyone. I had a chance to listen to the Urbanista Malibu on the show floor quickly , and here's what I think. Urbanista Malibu (2) Urbanista Malibu First impressions I've only had a quick listen to the Urbanista Malibu, but it shows great promise with high volume and bass response. Solar charging is just the icing on the cake. Price and availability The Urbanista Malibu retails for $149 and comes in three colors. Those on display were the classic Midnight Black and the new addition.
The new speaker is expected to be available worldwide from the end of September 2023. project The Urbanista Malibu is about the size of a large hamburger, and it's lighter than you might expect. It's wrapped around the edges with a woven recycled fabric material Country Email List and has a large Powerfoyle solar cell on top. I was surprised to find that this panel doesn't look like your typical solar panel, instead it could easily be mistaken for a design choice as it resembles matte black plastic. Urbanista Malibu (10) There's not much to see on the base, and on the back you have a USB-C port along with a shoe-style carrying handle.
There's a rubberized embossed logo on the front, along with game, pause and volume controls on the ring. All in all, this is a very rare but pleasing look. The colors are subtle too, opting for earthy tones rather than the bright daytime colors of some competing brands. When it comes to durability, you get an IP67 rating . This means that it is waterproof and has a strong resistance to sand, dust and other particles. If you want a speaker for the beach, this is worth considering, especially when you consider solar charging capabilities. Urbanista Malibu (3) Features Obviously, the big selling point here is the sunroof, but the Urbanista Malibu has another trick or two. If you have two speakers, you can pair them in stereo without the need for programming.
